Nutrient-use efficiency of Eucalyptus genotypes grown in Luvisol

چکیده
Superior productivity of genotypes in forest plantations depends on the supply, capture and use-efficiency resources. In this context, knowledge regarding nutritional efficiency Eucalyptus influences farmers researchers decision-making management ecosystems. The aim research was to estimate nutrient-use planted state Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. We evaluated six potential at 43-month-old stands. Nutrient-use calculated using ratio biomass amount nutrients for each component biomass. Results here presented confirmed that there is synergism antagonism between shoot level genotypes. For stemwood, E. saligna showed best utilization N, P, K, S, Mn; urophylla × globulus Mg, B, Zn. Metabolic pathways control production synthesized by genotype differences groups were basis their components. Stemwood highest efficiency, while leaves lowest efficiency. Additionally, our analyses identified how different these traits may be used clone allocation according soil fertility.

Nutrient Use Efficiency in Plants
Invariably, many agricultural soils of the world are deficient in one or more of the essential nutrients needed to support healthy plants. Acidity, alkalinity, salinity, anthropogenic processes, nature of farming, and erosion can lead to soil degradation. Additions of fertilizers and/or amendments are essential for a proper nutrient supply and maximum yields. Estimates of overall efficiency of ...
متن کاملYield and water use efficiency of early potato grown under different irrigation regimes
Potato grown for early or off-season production plays a crucial role in the economy of several areas in the Mediterranean countries. Irrigation is important for determining yield and earliness, thus a better investigation of plant response under various pedo-climatic conditions can help to improve resource use efficiency and farmer income. A two-year field research (2009-2010) was carried o...
متن کاملEffects of irrigation on water use and water use efficiency in two fast growing Eucalyptus plantations
Eucalyptus plantations occupy almost 20 million ha worldwide and exceed 3.7 million ha in Brazil alone. Improved genetics and silviculture have led to as much as a three-fold increase in productivity in Eucalyptus plantations in Brazil and the large land area occupied by these highly productive ecosystems raises concern over their effect on local water supplies. As part of the Brazil Potential ...
متن کاملWater Use Efficiency of Field-grown Maize during Moisture Stress.
Theoretical analysis of the CO(2) assimilation and water loss by single leaves suggests that the water use efficiency of C(4) species decreases as stomatal resistance increases. To confirm this hypothesis for a complete maize crop, results from computer simulations and a field experiment were compiled for varying stomatal resistances. A soil-plant-atmosphere model allowed simulations of the man...
متن کاملNutrient Use Efficiency in Three Fast-Growing Tropical Trees
We measured nutrient use efficiency (NPP/nutrient uptake) in three species of tropical trees, Hyeronima alchorneoides, Cedrela odorata, and Cordia alliodora. We tested the prediction that on fertile soils species with very different biomass and nutrient allocation and turnover would converge on a common value of nutrient use efficiency. Due to high soil fertility, nutrient use efficiencies of t...
